3 Pandas in Japan is a single-player, side-view puzzle-adventure game. You steer three panda brothers through a series of scenes, using each one’s strengths to get everyone past obstacles. It’s played with a mouse and has been around since about 2014 or 2015.
According to one game database, the pandas are visiting Japan when they accidentally photograph a group of ninja thieves. That gets them captured, so they have to escape, recover the stolen camera, and bring the thieves to justice. It’s a light cartoon setup, not a serious story.
The game uses mouse controls, per 1001games. Click to guide the pandas and interact with things in each scene. If something doesn’t respond, click directly on the object or panda you want to use, then watch what changes.
Your goal in each scene is to get all three pandas past the obstacles and out. Think of every screen as a small puzzle.
In this series, the pandas don’t all do the same thing. Different sources describe the big panda lifting the others and the small panda being thrown into tight spots. I couldn’t verify that the Japan game uses the same roles, so test it in play.
A useful habit is to ask the same three questions on every screen:
These tips come from how puzzle-platformers usually work, not from testing:
1001games tags the game as Flash. Flash ended years ago, so browser versions you see today typically run in a different way than the original. Because of that, how smoothly the game plays can differ between sites.
The game also appeared on iOS in April 2015 (listed as free), and a database lists an Android release in June 2024. Check the current store pages before you download.
Many people search for “unblocked” versions. School and work networks block games on purpose, so follow your own rules.
